Hendricks County Aviation

Lydia Edwards

When I was 10, my friend’s dad took us up in his plane. It was so cool to see the ground from up high but still in vivid detail.

As I got older and started to think about what I wanted to do for a career, I realized that wanted to become a pilot. Now that I look back, I see that first plane ride with my friend’s dad opened up the world of aviation for me.

Recently, I have decided to become a professional pilot. I did an internship at the Hendricks County Airport and I am almost finished with my private pilot’s license. I have been accepted for the Professional Flight program at Purdue University.
